1828 to 2015 [and older]
A timeline for Prince Polaris
In 1828 Polaris was born, with a pure blue coat, a silver mane, and emerald green eyes to a married couple in upper Canterlot. His father was Northern Sheild, a light blue stallion with a darn brown mane (with a cream stripe) and hazel amber eyes- his Mother was Silver Pearl, a white mare with a silver mane, and light eyes that her husband had a hard time saying "no" to. Polaris' childhood was very normal, his parents doted on him as a child, and he looked up to Midnight, his older sister who was born three years before him. He loved to sneak out and explore Canterlot, sometimes staying out for days (and greatly worrying his parents). In late 1832, Polaris' family started to fall apart, as his parents fought nearly all of the time because his father would leave for days at a time, staying away from the house as his mother fumed over what she was certain was an affair.
Even though he grew close to midnight, thy constant fighting made him rather bitter to the world. He spent most of his time in the library, where his only friend lived- a Dragon/Pony chimera named Silver Star. Together, they read book after book, cuddled together in one of the rear corners of the library. However, his home life was still a mess.. even though Polaris was younger than Midnight, he also became very protective of her, and wary of his parents.
When Polaris was 15, in 1843, Polaris' father came home in the middle of the night. Midnight was asleep in her room, and Polaris had been practicing his magic in his room, having to listen yet again to another heated argument from his parents. This time however, a loud crack of magic sounded, and he heard his mother scream, along with a sickening thud against one of the house walls. Polaris walked out of the room only to see his father, completely overtaken by the dark magic he had been practicing in secret when he was "cheating".
Polaris' anger rushed to the surface, of all the greif his parents had put him through, and he tried to rip his father's magic away. He suceeded slightly, but the magic attacked him, placing a heavy curse on him as it overtook his body, killing his father in the process and setting the house on fire. The curse also teleported Midnight underground, freezing her in a crystal. The reason for this was that Polaris had a deep urge to protect her, and the magic did so in a fashion that it liked. This magic made it so that Polaris would live for 2000 years, and as long as he ate enough, it would keep him in top physical condition. Midnight would be perfectly presrved by the crystal, and thanks to the special preservation, when and if she is released from it, she would share the same life-extension as him, except that hers would have no limit other than her own mortality. She would not have dark magic abilities, only the lingering traces of it that make up the preservation.
Polaris' final thought before it overtook him was to use the power to teleport away from canterlot, away from his house, away from his life. He managed to pull it off, rocketing himself deep into the badlands and nearly draining all of the dark magic. For the next few decades, Polaris wandered the wastelands as a half-magic, half-pony monster, fighting for full control of his own body.
In 1856, Polaris chanced upon a settlement of ponies at the border of the badlands, a town named 'TreeVale'. The ponies there found him hiding on the edge of town and invited him in, feeding him and letting him stay in the hotel. Polaris was amazed about them accepting him, and he gladly accepted their help.
However, that night his magic powerfully attempted another takeover, and, still not in control of himself, a wave of bloodlust ripped through Polaris, fueled by the magic. He murdered every single pony in the town, forced to cruelly enjoy it by his own magic. He burned it to the ground and wandered back into the badlands, viciously fighting the magic for what it had made him do. He managed to find an Elk Stag named Luk, and both of them were surprised by the fact that they managed to fall in love with each other. Polaris began to learn to control his magic with Luk's help, and even learned how to use it when Luk was captured by a monster one day. Polaris stayed with Luk for decades, and here he learned two parts of his magic, one great, one horrible. After age 25, Polaris couldn't age anymore, which he liked. However, Luk still could, and Polaris slowly learned a very hard lesson as he watched his closest ever friend or lover wither away right in front of his eyes. Eventually, Luk died, his last words, "Move on from me.... go have a life with another lucky pony. Take my soul so I can be with you, always." Polaris nearly lost himself, but he kept his magic in check, and eventually, he decided to head back to Equestria, and live with other ponies. But first, he had to find some sort of place where he could fit in.
That place came in 1898, when Polaris wandered onto a trainyard in manehattan. He managed to get himself a job there after hesitantly making contact with the ponies, and finally earned his gear cutie mark working on the trains. Here, Polaris' habit of drowning his feelings in repetitive tasks came to light, as he forced himself to focus on fixing the steam engines and working on other things to keep the magic's whisperings at bay, which had began to return now that his big, cuddly Stag was no longer there to help. He also made a friend in the trainyard, a stallion named Iron Rail, the first pony he had ever trusted since the incident as a teenager. He allowed Polaris to stay in his apartment with him, meaning that no longer did he sleep in a boxcar each night. In 1912, the very night Polaris was prepared to admit to iron that he liked him as much more than a friend, Iron was murdered by one of the gangs beginning to crop up in the city, on the way to their apartment- All polaris got was a letter the next day that he had to move out.
Polaris flew into a rage when he heard of the news, and he quit his job. He didn't have near enough resistance to his magic to control the powerful surges of emotions, so he stalked off into town while trying not to convert over to the monster his magic wanted him to become. One night, Polaris walked in on a gang of ponies hiding out in a warehouse, and they all turned on him. He did his best to talk them down, but one of the ponies shot him in the leg, and the dam finally broke free- he lost it again and murdered everyone in the room. Soon after it was over, and he managed to calm down a little, a rival gang, who owned the warehouse, walked in to find that not only they had been raided, but a bleeding stallion who radiated a strange magic had wiped them all out. After bandaging his wounds and slightly blackmailing him about it, Polaris joined the rival gang, and made it his personal misison to wipe out every last member of the gang who killed Iron, as he discovered that the ponies he walked in on were the ones responsible.. After winning firefight after firefight, Polaris quickly rose to the top of his gang, and soon wiped out the rival gang, along with overtaking its network of speakeasies.
In 1934, Polaris clashed with his mysterious rival for the first time- having no idea that the ponies he had killed in a warehouse were her family, having created the villanous gang leader who had been his enemy all this time. In a speakeasy under a manehattan apartment block, Polaris and Silver [Bullet] fought for hours, long after the supporting ponies on either side had fallen to the hail of bullets thrown at each other. Polaris and Silver both seemed to obsess over their thompson submachine guns, and by the time the fight ended, both of them were wounded badly. For the rest of 1934, and partially into 1935, Polaris and Silver continued to clash all over manehattan, involving their gangs, the overexerted police, and at one point, an out of control locomotive. In 1935, Polaris came to realize that not only was Silver fighting alone, she was getting much, much better at it, weilding up to five of her guns at once with precision accuracy and always with that wide, broken grin.
He fell in love with his Tommy gun, even making one out of gold for himself. He also built himself an armored limousine, which was his only transportation in the later years of his activities-when he was always on guard for Silver. By the end of 1935, as Polaris' desire for revenge finally faded away, his magic, body, and spirit all broken, he ran away under cover of night, letting the monster he'd created take control of his old gang, and the city of manehattan- never to be heard from again, he hoped, every time he was reminded of her.
He left manehattan and moved down to Ponyville, buying an old biplane for himself in an attempt to start a new hobby, along with a plot of land at the base of a nearby mountain. He found that flying was just as much fun as he always imagined, and the stallion slowly recovered once again while making friends with some of the townspeople, but staying emotionally cut off. Before polaris could start building anything, WWII broke out. Originally, Polaris tried to stay out of the war, but the lure of airplanes, his fear of Silver, and his magic begging for him to finally give into it to help his country drew him to join, in 1942. Polaris became a spitfire pilot, and moulded to war like he was built for it. In a way he was, due to the nature of his magic. He earned a few flight awards, for his agility piloting an airplane, and his amount of kills, which ranged pretty high, almost ace-pilot range.
In 1943, Polaris was shot down over germaney, and captured. He was taken to a bunker and interrogated for anything he might know, along with a few of his mates. Their final interrogation method was to send an electric shock into Polaris' horn, but when they did, his magic overpowered him, the machine, and took him over with its newfound control, and murdered everyone in the bunker, angered by the pain of the electricity and tending to its bloodlust. After eventually managing to wrangle control back and escape the enemy territory, Polaris was found bleeding and half-dead on the side of the road miles away, and quicky taken to a hospital.
There, Polaris met a nurse named Lunimere, who nursed him back to health, both physically and mentally. She was a beautiful dark bluish unicorn with a gradient yellow, to pink, to bluish mane, and her cutiemark was the medical symbol with wings and a heart at the tip. Her eyes were a beautiful blue color, and Polaris couldn't say no to her whenever she gave him a sad look. She taught him some of her healing spells, and then spells for mind-talking, with they used to their advantage to talk to each other in the busy army camp.
The two ponies fell madly in love, something completely new to both of them. Polaris loved Lunimere because she was the first pony to truly love him back, and because of how gentle and kind she was, and no matter how scared or nervous he was about something being close to her always fixed him right up. Lunimere loved Polaris because of how protective and nice he was back to her. She was usually overlooked for the mares who had more personality or flashier coat colors, but Polaris came straight for her, even asking to have her come back when the nurses were rotated in the hospital.
The two ponies rushed home to ponyville to get married when the war ended, the date of their marrige being december 20th, 1944. They bought a Ponyville house and Lunimere picked out their car- a 2 door convertible 1941 ford super deluxe, which they both loved to cruise around the landscape in. Once Lunimere learned about the plot of Land Polaris had, she proposed that they found a radio company together, giving Ponyville's citizens something to listen to since nothing was receivable there. it was to be named P&L, but the idea was let go when the baby came along. As expected for two ponies who found their soulmate, in '47, Lunimere became pregnant too, with a foal that the pair named Starfield. Her and Polaris started eagerly preparing for their child, putting together a nursery in their house and making trips down to baltimare to get cute outfits for the baby.
On June 12, 1948, Luimere and Polaris went to a large house party in the forest near Ponyville, at a place called Hickory Oak Inn. One of their friends had just won an award for a contest they were eagerly anticipating for an entire year, and with a part of their prize money they hosted a huge party. Polaris reluctantly let Lunimere go to the basement to help make the food, because she thought it needed her improvement, telling her husband to "Go have fun with the other guys outside, they're playing ball!"
At around 7:00 PM, a drunken, dark furred stallion with a silver mane ran down from the third floor of the house, alerting all of the partygoers that the fourth floor of the mansion had caught on fire. Polaris helped a few ponies out, then ran off to find Lunimere after finding out, to his dismay, that she wasn't outside. By the time he got back into the house to find her, the entire house was full of smoke. Unable to mind-talk due to all of the confusion and panic, Polaris started to make his way to the basement stairs, heaving aside burning beams and choking on smoke. Polaris got to the top of the basement stairs, but a burning beam slammed down halfway down the steps. Polaris yelled for her, as Lunimere and a few others made their way to the bottom of the stairs. He started to pull the beam away, but before polaris could help any of them, the roof of the basement mansion shifted, as a few supports gave out behind the group of ponies.
The roof of the basement broke free and smashed down onto Lunimere, their unborn child, and the other ponies trapped down in the basement. They were all just about instantly killed, crushed under the heavy, burning structure. It wasn't until fires licked at his front hooves that Polaris could even gather himself enough to move, staring through the flames at where she had been standing. He eventually stumbled out of the house and passed out on the lawn, simply shutting down, unable to process that Lunimere could have just died, right in front of him. A few others dragged him away from the mansion and patched him up, and the house collapsed two minutes after they got him away.
After he awoke, Polaris entered a sort of trance. Distant from the world, he held Lunimere's funeral, Sold their house, acting almost as a robot as he plodded through the weeks. He refused to look at her body when it was eventually removed from the burned mansion, and cut off all ties with other ponies before retreating to the old plot of land he had bought when first coming to ponyville. There, it finally hit him deep inside that Lunimere was dead, and she was never going to return to him. Breaking down into a heap of sorrow and anger, Polaris attempted to kill himself multiple times, finding out to his great frustration that his magic would not allow him to do so. A gun pointed at his head would jerk to the side when fired, a knife aimed for his chest would bend to one side when jerked forwards. Lost in a maze of his own anger, he ended up seeking out revenge, and he hunted down the drunken pony who had set fire to the building, and locked him inside of his own house before setting it aflame. Using magic to make the flames invisible to any outsiders, he watched the structure burn along with its single inhabitant, and he left to return to his greiving when he made sure that he was dead.
His cries could even be heard in the outskirts of ponyville, but most ponies who heard him had no idea what the twisted wailing was. Polaris also remembered Midnight through his greif, doubling it as he realized that she was probably also dead by then, leaving him alone and loveless. Therefore, he didn't bother to look for her, deciding to hope that she had lived a good life without him. She still remains in the crystal however, frozen in time.
After spending a few years alone in the woods, Polaris returned to Ponyville, refusing to speak to anyone on his way to the supply yard where bricks and wood were sold. In 1951, Polaris started construction on what is now the PolariSoft building. He used all of his remaining gang money, the money from his house, and any other funds he possessed to build the huge building. His old Limousine, still parked at the property ever since he had left for war, was used to haul the supplies back and forth, until he bought a 1953 pickup to help with his work. Made entirely out of bricks, iron, special synthetic wood, and aluminum, Polaris poured all of his grief and mourning into the building, a structure that would be completely fireproof.
In 1955, Polaris was called to Canterlot for a meeting. He was told about the Underworld Project, a massive plan to build fallout-sheltering bunkers at every city in Equestria. The Ponyville underworld bunker was supposed to be the first and smallest of the project, and they wanted it hid under Polaris' building, disguised by his feverish construction project. Polaris agreed, and construction started in the spring of that year.
The bunker was built easily thanks to a huge cavern under the building, which was why that spot was chosen. Polaris poured every ounce of his energy into the bunker, flooding away still-painful memories of Lunimere away in the heat of building. Christmas of that year was the first he had been able to call himself happy, as him and the other workers all got snowed in and held their own Christmas party together. Along with that, he became good friends with them, rekindling his desires from his days with Iron as he took on a second job as their 'entertainer'. This was a key point in Polaris' magic, because he managed to warp it away from Murder. Dark magic can feed on two main things, Killing other ponies, or Sex with other ponies, similar to what a changeling feeds on. Polaris slowly warped the magic until it desired sex instead of mindless killing, and the workers he stayed with certainly noticed the change as he became quite a stress-reliever for them.
From then on, Polaris was quite changed. He worked with his magic instead of against it, because no longer did it push for him to kill, fighting constantly, it instead was used quite often. Polaris often changes into his "darker self", where he is much more dominant, confident, and kinky. His shyer nature is pushed aside, allowing him to pull off things he wouldn't dare try in person. The first pony to taste this side was of course Lunimere, but he never truly worked in harmony with his magic until then.
Construction went by quickly, the bunker was built with everything that a contained civilization was thought to need, such as a terrarium for growing food, movie theaters, cavernous storage rooms, a large waterworks, and generators were installed for power. A Huge oil well found under the bunker was tapped into for generator fuel, only to be used in case of a real nuclear attack.
Water was to be rerouted from the nearby river running through the mountains, heavily filtered to keep out nuclear waste. The base was set to cut off all water if need be, and to simply recirculate it throughout he bunker. Work started on installing a computer mainframe in the 1970s, the last thing to be put in. However, the Underworld project died in 1972, costing too much money, and work was ended.
Polaris launched a Radio station that year, remembering Lunimere's desire for one, and he built a large radio tower next to the mountain. His station was rather successful, but it died in the Late 70s due to neglect from him, he got caught up in building a nightclub and didn't keep the radio going. Said nightclub was built down in the bunker, with a dance floor, a bar, tables for snacks and plenty of private rooms. In 1979, Polaris finished the nightclub, with the help of a few of the ponies he had made friends with as they worked on the bunker with him. The club's launch was successful, the nighttime nightclub becoming a great success. He participated in everything that went on the bunker, drowning himself in sex and music. Polaris could usually be found in the middle of an orgy, or in a private room with someone he liked. The ponies he had built the bunker and club with were usually his favorite group, but he also loved to take a virgin mare or stallion to a private room and show them what fun it was to play around. In the nightclub, Polaris rarely ever turned into his darker self for two reasons. The first one being, his dark self negated any anti pregnancy spells, and the other one was that he was simply much more confident in the nightclub- a place where surely any pony was looking for the same thing as he.
In 1986, at the encouragement of a few of his friends, he decided to become a singer, since they caught him singing loudly in various corners of the bunker. Naming himself North Star and always wearing a full-body latex costume to hide who he was, he slowly became popular as he pulled off gigs in small towns, then larger ones. He eventually got a performance in Manehattan, and pulled it off well. In 1987, many concerts later, Polaris found out that the princesses were actually coming to see one of his shows, and he decided to sing a song he had been hesitant to sing. It was a carefully written love song about him and Lunimere, and he wasn't sure if he could handle it. He stubbornly went with it at the last minute, and performed the song with more passion than he had put into any other one. When the music finished, and the song quieted down, he was seen to have collapsed to the stage crying, and simply teleported elsewhere before anyone could get close to him.
After that, Polaris disappeared from the music industry, glad that he decided to keep his identity secret. He hid away his outfits and all of the music tapes he could get his hooves on, before retiring back to the nightclub to drown himself in other ponies once again. A brief search for him had surged up into the media, but after a while he had been forgotten, to his thankfulness.
In 1989, Polaris shut down the nightclub, giving up on the place and finally, wearingly, wanting to just be alone. However, he had been interested in the computer that ran his light shows, and bought some more computers to fiddle with. Polaris found that he possessed amazing skill for working with computers, and he happily launched a Technology company in 1990, named 'Polaris Computing'. He slowly became successful as he created program after program, using the money mostly to keep his building to himself, paying off various loans. In 2000, Polaris changed the company's name to PolariSoft, and started working on an Operating System.
Named 'NorthOS', Polaris' OS was a mild success, but Zapple was dominating the computer industry in Equestria, so Polaris didn't get too far in the field. However, small business and ponies who didn't like Zapple bought his software, keeping his company comfortably afloat. Because he worked alone, all his profits went to him. In 2005, Polaris started to write software for an A.I., a gentle wish for companionship coming back to him, but not another pony. He was too scared of coming close to someone and losing them.
Polaris started to work on the A.I. Furiously as he had with the PolariSoft building and its bunker, coding a program that was set to become alive, and think for itself. He bought more servers, installing them all downstairs to handle the load of it all. in 2007 the A.I. Came alive, adopting a female personality and rapidly growing. Polaris, using the mounts for the 70s mainframe, installed a bank of servers in the bunker to run her, but not normal ones. He bought a massive server called, "TechNET", which used large, extremely high-capacity tape reels for its memory storage. They were only slightly less powerful than servers of the day, and were much less expensive, on account of a rather dangerous flaw: a slipped spool would be spinning fast enough to severely injure someone. They were installed in the Bunker's old server room, since its servers were never put in, and Polaris made sure to secure the ends of the reels to keep anything from flying off and causing an accident.
In 2008, the A.I. Named herself 'Saphira', not liking Polaris' name, which was simply 'L.U.N.A.' It didn't even stand for anything, except for a sort of Omen, since Saphira chose a voice very similar to the Princesses'. Polaris prepared Saphira for the real world quickly, and in 2010 revealed her to the world, as Equestria's first sentient AI.
His popularity increased, and his sales also grew, making it easier to afford the high electricity bill of the bunker and his base. PolariSoft didn't change much over the next two years, but in 2013 Polaris installed some new servers, also becoming a server farm to host websites and game servers.
In the 2010s, Polaris finally grew calm, the turmoil of his life having settled, and with his new friend Saphira, he keeps himself sane and hasn't gotten involved in any sort of elaborate projects. . In about 2012, he discovered the underworld. To make short of his adventure, he found his father who had been cursed even worse than him. In a brief magical fight he had removed the magic from him, and returned the underworld to its former glory, the ponies of threetown working to repopulate the other caverns with the now-restored heart.
In 2014, Polaris used a mix of magic, cutting edge technology, and the body of a brain-dead mare, to create a body for Saphira to access, as the AI very much disliked being trapped in the walls of Polarisoft, being nothing but a bunch of servers. The body is a white mare, with a light blue mane, and she has metal implants hidden inside of her mane which is how she can connect the body to her mainframes if she ever needs to. Soon after her body was working, something else happened. Polaris had an old Hawker Sea Fury, bought by him and stored in his hangar. Polaris spent a few years doing work on and off on the plane during the 90s and 00s, upgrading it with modern flight computers, and due to the fact that the engine inside of it was destroyed, he removed it entirely and replaced it with a second fuel tank, instead opting to place small jet engines on the wings that were attached to the plane, before the hinge. On a few test flights, the systems worked fine, but the half-done-jet was workable, if a little hard to control.
On a Lonely night at polarisoft, while Saphira was shut off to allow herself to perform a fresh boot the next morning, Polaris had gotten himself drunk- a rare occurrence. So much drunk so, that he decided to try turning the plane into a pony, and after scouring dark magic books for hours, he managed to find spells to supposedly do such a thing. Polaris nearly killed himself when he used the spells on the plane, and passed out when they finished.
Thus, Prop was born, a metallic, yet alive and flexible, mare who functions as a normal pony, except that if she needs to fly, she will have to drink a large amount of fuel in order to do so, and her womb also functions as the second fuel tank, even though she only fills that one in private. The mare has no cutie mark, and per her request, it's also a Hermaphrodite too.
Saphira is the AI at PolariSoft, created by the stallion himself. She was "born" in 2005, became sentient in 2007, and grew into a slightly sassy, teasing, but otherwise gentle and loving mare, who resides both in her body, and the computers she runs on in the bunker.
OPTIONAL [OC owned by silvie] Not long after that, about 2010, Polaris created his third daughter: Alya, a robotic pony mare no bigger or smaller than the average mare. She is built with specialized metal that is strong, but light, making her easy to carry. Her body is painted a metallic red, and she has numerous synthetic parts, such as a mouth with a tongue and teeth, and hair, which is a light tan in colour with dark gray highlights. Her eyes are robotic but resemble normal pony eyes, and the irises are bright blue.
Alya is sentient, and self aware. She doesnt try to hide that shes a robot, in fact she expresses happiness about being one, finds it cool, and she loves it when ponirs compliment her. She loves learning about new things, and actively seeks out new knowledge, sometimes unintentionally taking unnecessary risks for it.
Soon after Alya was created,
Polaris met Reeve, a changeling, by discovering the bug in his closet, and rather enthusiastically donating a whole lot of love to him. Polaris helped reeve get a house in ponyville, and introduced him to some ponyville ponies, but the changeling still visited him plenty often for love. After the reform of his old hive, with twilight's help, Reeve reformed himself, turning into an adorable light blue changeling with pink gradients.
After selling his home, Reeve returned to PolariSoft and moved in with Polaris, where he spends his time getting plenty of love from Polaris and his daughters, even if he didn't really need it. His flightlift disguise long forgotten, he is finally happy with being himself.
In 2012, Polaris found the underworld, helping the heart save his father from dark magic and establishing relations between the surface and the underworld once again.
In 2015, Polaris used a mix of magic, cutting edge technology, and the body of a brain-dead mare, to create a body for Saphira to access, as the AI very much disliked being trapped in the walls of Polarisoft, being nothing but a bunch of servers. The body is a white mare, with a light blue mane, and she has metal implants hidden inside of her mane which is how she can connect the body to her mainframes if she ever needs to. The mare has no cutie mark, and per her request, it's also a Hermaphrodite too."
In modern day 2017, Polaris simply lounges around PolariSoft, writing software at his own pace with Saphira's help. He also visits Crystal, a friend of his, from time to time- a large, white and blue, beautiful Dragonpony living in a cave in the mountain above his home. He often hikes up just to snuggle with her, since she's much larger and fluffier than him.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
[Like, 1800s and early 1900s Polaris is a kid trapped in an adult body with magic torturing him, so he's a mess]
[1920s and 1930s Polaris is the emo stage, he hates the world and everyone in it, that's why he got into a gang and used that as an excuse to attack everyone in the other gang]
[1940s is the happy stage, cause Lunimere]
[1950s polaris is super depressed, pretty simple]
[1960s and 1970s is where he starts to break out of that shell and drown himself in sex, starting off with the bunker workers and eventually the nightclub-]
[1980s is where he dives deep into music and other ponies, using all the sex and shit as an escape until he burns out hard in the end with that lovesong]
[1990s is where he starts to sort of heal, getting into the whole computer business]
[2000s and 2010s is basically dad Polaris, he's mostly mature and stuff and all of the fires have kinda burnt down, and this is where all of the shipping comes in because he's finally (though he doesn't know it) ready to find someone to love]
Poor version:
This splits off in 1942, where Polaris became a soldier instead of a pilot. When he returned from war, he bought an apartment with his gang money, living uneventfully in it until 1952, when he was kicked out for not paying his rent. Polaris left manehattan and wandered equestria as a vagrant for years, meeting nice and mean ponies along the way on his search for Midnight, who he had decided to ask for help. He eventually gave up on his search, writing her off as dead, wondering why he even bothered to try as late as the 60s and 70s.
In 1975, he found himself in Manehattan again, and found work at a nightclub. Polaris stayed at the nightclub until 1988, when the place closed. Polaris had saved every penny from his job that he could, keeping it all in the bank as he lived in the streets.
That year, he bought a small house on the edge of the city, and finally had a home of his own. He lived there until 1998, when some ponies who had dug up who he was set fire to his house. Having no insurance, Polaris was back on the streets. He moved into the basement of the library and lived there until 2003, when someone found him living down there. Polaris was arrested for tresspassing, and happily went to jail.
However, jail turned out to be not what he wanted. Yes, he had food and shelter, but he quickly became a target for the other stallions. After an incident where Polaris nearly shoked seven different stallions to death in the shower, he was quickly left alone.
In 2013, Polaris was released from jail. He found an abandoned 1985 stationwagon at the junkyard, and managed to get it in moving condition. In modern day 2015, he lives in the old car, moving from alley to alley as he wishes.
A variant on Poor Polaris:
This switches off in 2003. When Polaris was found under the library, the Librarian offered him a job. Finding out he had skill with computers within a week, he quickly fixed up all of the computers, then after begging one of them off of the librarian, quickly started learning how to program and so on.
Polaris created his own OS, naming it NorthOS, and published it online, then quickly forgot it as he designed update after update for it anyway. A year later, this being 2005, he realized that people were rapidly taking up his OS, and he left the library to start a business. Buying out a failed software company named "FlightWare", Polaris set to work, using FlightWare's expensive servers to host his OS download page, which had rendered his old desktop unusable from the amount of people connecting to it. He blocked off the top three floors of the building and moved in, making that part his home while the rest of it waited to become a business.
Polaris' company rapidly grew as he hired pony after pony, scouring the alleyways of manahattan for talents of every kind. Polaris ended up buying the abandoned buildings on either side of the old FlightWare building, connecting them all together to make PolariSoft larger. In 2008, Polaris set to work on designing an A.I., trusting his workers to taking care of NorthOS.
Polaris put years into his A.I., and in 2010 he signed an agreement with the equestrian Government that if he created an A.I., that they would pay for and maintain the servers needed to operate it as long as they had a direct line to it for whatever purposes they would need.
After a lengthy discussion, Polaris allowed it, and soon after, Polaris managed to get the A.I. to become self-aware, naming it "Central Operations and Security Intelligence System", or "C.O.S.I.S."
The A.I. Rapidly advanced and took on a female personality, naming herself Lily and rapidly learning about everything she had access to. Over the next few years she rapidly grew, and didn't 'calm down' until 2012. After that, Polaris returned to working with the company, with Lily's help, where he still does in 2015.
Normal Version:
Normal Polaris is a Unicorn, with a Silver mane, exactly like Alicorn Polaris before his transformation. This version of Polaris has two SubVersions, also with the same parents, but not the same childhood background.
Equestrian Timeline: This version of Polaris is the one that would be inserted into the show. This Polaris was still Born in Canterlot like the main version. His dad still got into dark magic, and he was still cursed with it, and he still lost both parents while his sister went missing, frozen in a hidden underground crystal. However, in this timeline, Polaris managed to take control over the magic, and fled to Manehattan to hide before he could be blamed for the 'murder' of his parents.
Earth TimeLine:
This Polaris was born in 1985, to his parents in Manehattan, in a large house close to the main part of the city. His father worked in the Police force, and his mother worked as a stock broker, working mostly from home. They were able to afford a large house, and each of his parents had their own car. North and Silver had been trying to have a child ever since they had gorren married in 1981, and they were both elated when Polaris was born.
His parents both doted on him, overjoyed to have a child of their own. Even though most of his time was spent around his mother, Polaris looked up to his father. In 1992, when Polaris was 7, his father was killed chasing a serial killer. While giving chase, the front wheels of North's car had been shot flat, making him careen off of the road and into a building. The impact had crushed the front of the car, killing him almost instantly.
When Silver got the news, she had a mental breakdown. Polaris tried to comfort her, but he didn't completely understand that his dad was just Gone. After that happened, Polaris' moher slipped behind in her work. She tried to focus on giving Polaris a good childhood, but he eventually noticed something was up. But in 1998, Polaris' mom bought him his first computer, a midrange tower. Polaris rapidly learned how to use the Zapple desktop, and got his cutie mark in the process, a
So here is a weird dark version of Polaris:
One where he went completely insane after losing Lunimere, and he turned a full 180 and embraced his magic. From there, he hunts ponies down every night, murdering them, eating his fill of them, and sucking them dry of blood. Then, he either tracks their family and friends down and murders them too, or wipes their minds and kidnaps a few for later. And of course, couples where the mare is pregnant are surefire targets.

Photo Album, Hidden away and forgotten in the Bunker's truck:
The first few pages are full of pictures of them in the wartime Hospital, with a few sneaky shots of them cuddling, taken by other nurses. The next pictures are of their trip back to equestria, and of them getting married and buying their house in Ponyville. The pictures range through a lot of their dates together, and then to her in the hospital with polaris nervously smiling to the camera. Next was a timeline of Lunimere's pregnancy, but then the pictures stopped. After a few pages filled with various sexual pictures of him or her or both of them, another break in the pictures came. These pages were full of the old newspapers full of reports about the fire that killed her. "House fire kills 14" one paper read, "Local stallion loses both wife and child, disappears from town" another read, with a shot of polaris' house, a 'for sale' sign in front of it. The final Picture in the book was a water-damaged, full page professional shot of polaris and Lunimere, standing in the doorway of the nursery they had put together, taken a mere week before the fire. They were both grinning widely, Polaris holding her close to him with a wing.
Here's this thing someone wrote:
This is the tale of Prince Polaris, set in the not-so-distant past of Equestria.
Polaris was born in Equestria. It does not matter what town he was born in, but he was born wingless but with a horn and an intense desire for flight and technologically-thinking mind. In his younger years he had his eyes on the sky, watching pegasi and wishing that he could some day experience what they did so naturally.
In his teenage years, he studied magic and technology. Very simple forms of technology were the only machines to exist in Equestria - as we have already seen, trains are a prominent part of life in this alternate world. Polaris aspired to create new technology, and his first innovation was mechanical wings. These enabled him to fly and he finally experienced that rush, with steam from the small engine coming out in small bursts as he soared about, finally acheiving his dream.
This was when the princesses recognised his magical abilities and asked him to become their student. They believed that he could give new life to Equestrian technology, and commissioned a large vehicle to be created that could carry many ponies while airborne. With many years of toiling, Polaris finally made the first functional airship. He also created hot air balloons and further developed his mechanical wings, making flight something that could be experienced by all, whether winged or not. As a reward, the princesses ascended him and gave him the real wings he had wanted ever since he was a filly.
The catacombs: The ponies who built the catacombs were a secretive cult of dark-magic users, who lived down there and rarely ever left. if one of them was considered 'pure' enough, they were allowed to read from the book Polaris got into, and "Ascend" to a purer form, as a Genderless, black dragon whose only mode of communication is through thought. These Ascended "dragons" have a fire burning inside of them. When a pony is transformed, the fire sets itself to give them exactly 80 years of age. When they reach that number, the fire will go out and they will die, their body dissolving into dust within an hour of death.
Self sacraficice spell K:
[12:26:40 PM] Prince Polaris: He shivered as he threw the papers down and set the spell into motion, his horn shining a blinding white as the spell took hold. A powerful wave of his magic gripped Blizzard's spirit and forced it back into her body, as more of his magic ran through it, everything from the large cut to the smallest scar almost instantly healing as he forced her organs to resume functioning. Polaris himself aged very rapidly as the spell drained his life force, and what was left of him was incinerated in a burst of green fire, magic fire that would be cool to the touch.
After that, the base fell silent for a few moments, only interrupted by the rapid clicking of saphira's servers self-testing in the server room. In the dark section of the hallway where Polaris' firebreathing had killed off a row of lights as long as a bus, some white mist seemed to form. Slowly taking the form of Polaris, he looked around slowly, his form wavering a little. Across from him, another form rose from the mist, a mare who looked around before seeing him. They both wordlessly smiled as each of them recognized the other, the mare letting out a silent cry of joy as she leaped forwards, in slow motion, and tackled polaris to the floor. As they fell, their white forms both disintegrated into the mist, then faded away along with the cloudy substance.
